donations help support the mission of The JAAV.
We have 105
visually challenged students enrolled with us. We provide
education, boarding facility and food to these children free
of cost.
Government of
India, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Shastri
Bhawan, New Delhi, has approved annual grant based on the
number of children and salaries of teachers, contingencies,
building maintenance & repairs since 1985. In the year
2004-2005 we received a grant of Rs 12,17,952/-. However,
this grant is insufficient to meet all the requirements of
the school and it depends heavily on generous donations from
various sources. School has an expenditure of about Rs.45
lakhs per year for providing medical facility, food,
clothing, braille books, staff salaries, telephone,
electricity, repair and maintenance, administrative work
etc.
Every day,
public support and generosity allow us to improve the lives
of these visually challenged children (Donation
received in last 5 years). Any contribution you are able
to make assist these children in becoming more
self-sufficient, learning a new skill or gaining confidence
to succeed.
Provide
a Meal
At a time we
provide meal for 140 people (blind students and support
staff) in the hostel. Would you like to provide a meal for
these 140 people?
School
provides meals in four categories. If you wish to provide
meal to these students, you can choose from one of the

Sponsor
a Child
You can sponsor a child today @INR.2500/- per month, for the
education, health care, food, clothing, boarding and overall
development of a child.
You can specify your
preference, what type of child you are looking for - like
boy or girl; what age group, then we can make the selection
for you. We will provide you with details of the child
sponsored by you along with the photograph. School will keep
you informed about the monthly progress of the child.

Machine ( Braille Xerox Machine)
This machine is used to make copies of Braille printed
material on thermoform paper.
